THIS PETCO LOCATION SPECIFICALLY (5580 SEPULVEDA BLVD)..... Is probably one the BEST Petco locations I have been a customer at, and I have lived in 3 states and have had pets all my life. The store is always clean and well maintained, and every single staff member is friendly, helpful and engaging. I also bring my two dogs to the Grooming staff at this Petco location. They are WONDERFUL! The entire Grooming team makes an effort to get to know you and your pets, its not just about a transaction. My two dogs have a bit of anxiety, and the Grooming team really does well with making my dogs feel comfortable. They also took EXCELLENT CARE and follow ups with me when one of my dogs had a little bit of a medical scare while she was there. My dogs are always happy to get groomed here. Took my grandson to the Petco Zoo. My son and his wife thought I was joking. We left for a walk and the called I said we were at the zoo. The store is nicely organized and they have a big sign. Petco Zoo, so take your toddler they will have a hoot!

I love this Petco. The staff has always been an absolute joy to encounter whenever I go. BIG SHOUT OUT to Julie in training and Jessica in grooming! They are the sweetest people and my dog absolutely loves both of them. Highly recommend either or them for grooming or training!!! Love you Petco on Sepulveda!!💕

Petco 5850 Sepulveda Blvd, Van Nuys, CA 91411) I visited this store twice, and unfortunately both experiences were very disappointing. The first time, I waited almost an hour for someone to help me. When an employee finally came over, I was told they were closing. At the same time, I witnessed an argument between a customer and an employee — she seemed unprofessional and clearly unhappy to help. The second time, I came to buy a guinea pig. I had everything required for proper care: a large cage, food, and all necessary supplies. Despite that, I was refused the sale. The supervisor gave many excuses, and I left feeling very upset. My child was also very disappointed. After that, I went to another store where I was able to purchase a guinea pig without any issues and received great customer service — they actually helped me. Yesterday, I had to come back to this store to buy pet food. This time everything went smoothly, and I want to thank the young man who helped me. However, overall the customer service at this location is poor. Most of the staff do not seem to know how to properly work with customers. Very disappointed with this place.

My girls and I stopped in to celebrate our dog’s adoption day. We grabbed a Ben and Jerry’s frozen dog treat and some Icelandic salmon and cod treats. Prices are a little high, but they had what we needed. The girls liked checking out the cats, even though there were only a few. I’m guessing that means most were adopted, which is great. Checkout was quick, but no one greeted us or asked if we needed help. Not a big deal, but it would have been nice to hear about any specials. Overall, we got what we came for and our dog loved his treats.

The one Petco closest to us is small and always out of items. This is 2 blocks away from Costco. It is well stocked and there are many knowledgeable salespeople. I also signed both of our 6 yr old dogs for advanced (refresh) training.Not only is Julie an excellent and experienced trainer, she also knows what products work well with certain dogs.
