What a hidden gem in Sherman Oaks. This is a true original beauty supply store. They have EVERYTHING for everyone. I assumed they didn’t have an textured/ethnic hair product by DevaCurl, I was wrong. I kept trying to locate it at the popular corporate beauty supply stores but found it here. So thankful because it’s an amazing neighborhood store. I love how dedicated and informative the clerks are. They are helpful and passionate about customer service and beauty solutions. The store is located less than .5 mile from Fashion Square mall. It’s located in community strip mall with Rite-Aid, Exer- Urgent Care, El Pollo Loco, Post Masters, Nail Salon, Starbucks and a donut shop. Parking lot is large and there is free street parking. The parking lot gets congested during lunch rush but is bearable. Please support local businesses. If you truly care about your neighbors, your community, and our country, please shop local.

A True Gem in the Heart of Sherman Oaks! I’ve been coming to Beauty Collection on the corner of Fulton and Riverside for over 25 years, and it continues to be an absolute staple in our community. The customer service is always top-tier—warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. Janet, the owner, is truly one of a kind. She goes above and beyond to serve her customers and really understands the needs of the community. I especially appreciate that I can find a wide variety of African-American beauty products without having to travel far. It’s rare to find a beauty supply store that consistently stocks quality items for everyone—and even rarer to feel so seen and valued as a customer. I had such a great experience at this beauty store! They have an impressive selection of products — from skincare and haircare to makeup and beauty tools. I was able to find everything I needed. What really made the visit special was the staff. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They didn’t hover, but were right there when I had questions or needed recommendations. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and know their products well. It’s rare to find a store that offers both variety and great service, but this place nails it. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I have been a loyal customer for YEARS. I had meant to write a review months ago, but forgot, and a recent visit brought back my memory of how the last visit was. The staff are very aloof, and not super helpful. They MAY come off as friendly when you first enter the door, but they act very rude and entitled when you get to the checkout. It’s very disappointing, especially because I have been coming here for over 15 years. I feel that management needs to know what’s happening, and perhaps get everyone together, have regular team meetings, and go over the concept of CUSTOMER SERVICE. And treat EVERYONE with respect and dignity.

As a loyal customer who has been coming to this business for years and recommended friends and family, I had a legitimate expectation of receiving service and quality. Regretfully, I wasn't very satisfied with my most recent visit to the store. I asked a store employee for help during my most recent visit in order to choose a hair color product that would properly match my hair. I bought the suggested product, believing them to be knowledgeable, and excitedly applied it at home just to find that it wasn't the correct hue. I discovered that the product within the box did not match the label after giving it a closer look. I was really disappointed in myself for not realizing this mistake and went back to the store to try to get the incorrect products exchanged. The employee, however, firmly rejected my request, putting up an obstacle. I asked nicely to speak with the owner, and I was appalled by the arrogant attitude I received. With a heartless statement, "I am not going to lose money because of you," the owner showed a flagrant disrespect for the loyalty and happiness of her customers. The owner persisted in rejecting my fair request, even though I had been a customer for years and was prepared to swap the item instead of receiving a refund, not to mention that it was their fault for selling me the wrong color. This experience has left me deeply disappointed and disillusioned with "Beauty Collection". As a customer who has consistently supported their business, I expected better treatment and a willingness to rectify mistakes. Unfortunately, their lack of accountability and customer service has left me no choice but to take my business elsewhere. I urge potential customers to think twice before patronizing a business that prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction.

Excellent store for both men and women. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They carry good product lines and there is plenty of parking. When one of my kids wanted to dye her hair, we went online and found information overload. Talking to the staff here really simplified our purchase and we got great results.
